Today in class you did the following:

1) Some of you paid your PSAT fee ($15)  - Remember that tomorrow is the LAST DAY I will accept your money for the PSAT.

2) You received a new superlative assignment regarding the College Center, which is embedded below and printed in red for your ease of reference.

College Center Assignment

Scholars, the following assignment will actually help you in real life!

Visit the College Center at least twice this semester to talk or listen to a college representative.  Have the irreplaceable Ms. Rubin stamp your sheet each time you visit.  Complete the front of this sheet with the requested information.  On the back of this sheet, please describe each of your visits and opine on the quality of information given at each.  Finally, on the basis of your visits, explain in writing which college you prefer and why.  Your writing on the back of this sheet must be a least 200 words in length.

This assignment is due on or before December 1, 2010.

4) You turned in your Kaffir Boy for an annotation grade;

6) You played a rousing game of vocabulary around-the-world.

Tomorrow we will discuss briefly Part One of Kaffir Boy.  We will also read Nelson Mandela's Nobel Peace Prize Speech in class and practice AP-style M/C questions regarding this speech.
