Today we perused stud. synthesis essays from the 2010 AP exam. You also graded your own essay pursuant to the criteria of which you became aware during class.
We also had a quote quiz on the first reading assignment; tomorrow we will discuss the first 104 pages of 1984.
Tomorrow, we will also have a vocabulary check on the following words: impinge, keening, beneficence, pious, lamentably, myriad, abstemious, equanimity, tawny, pungent, obscure, sentry, valor, chamois, enthralled, changeling, ominous, mesmeric, pragmatic, reverie, jauntiness, reverie, enigma, and girth. These words are found on the first page of your first ICB vocabulary list.
Your second reading/annotating 1984 assignment is due Wednesday, February 16, 2011 and covers pages 105 - 224.
