Today we had a vocabulary check on the first page of the First ICB Vocabulary List. You also submitted your 1984 vocabulary sheet.
Tomorrow, we will have a vocabulary check (puzzle) on the second page of the First ICB Vocabulary List. This includes the following words: wan, ardently, affront, reticent, devoid, ludicrous, solace, ineffable, protegee, elocution, ethereal(ity), Lilliputian, diminutive, dote, austere, fastidious, serpentine, itinerant, opulent, wanton, evocative, placid, nostalgia, eminent.
We will also have current event and journal day with the following scholastic stars:
First - Laura
Second - Jackie
Fourth - Keia
Sixth - Senit
Seventh - Lorena
Monday, February 14th, (Valentine's Day!) we will have a multiple choice test using 1984. Plan on leaving your book with me on Monday night. Monday night you will also submit your Post-Trial Metacognitive assignment.
Tuesday, February 15th, bring your hard copy of the Post-Trial Metacognitive assignment.
Wednesday, February 16th, please have read and annotated through page 224 (part two) of 1984.
Thursday, February 17th, submit your vocabulary story to turnitin.com.
Friday, February 18th, bring TWO hard copies of your stories to class.
