Scholars, today you wrote a persuasive essay - good stuff!
Tomorrow we need to do something enlightening and educational that doesn't require sitting and writing for 50 minutes. I have ideas, but, if you would like to suggest a class activity, please comment on this blog or e-mail me your (good) ideas, and I will be happy to consider them. Of course, you must have Frederick Douglass (his article, not the man) read and annotated by tomorrow.

We could talk about Invisible Children! They came to our school today and a lot of people seemed to be very touched by the videos and the message that they had.
