Ninth graders:
- You received twenty (20) new vocabulary words today. We also listened to Nikki Giovanni. You also wrote a story with your vocabulary words.
- You have homework due tomorrow! If you do not turn in your homework, you will stay in my room at lunch, watch me eat, and work on your homework for a late grade.
- Test on twenty words is Tuesday September, 6th.
- Your partner-published your story today. A few brave and valiant students read their stories to the class. Simply splendid!
- We also listened to Kevin Dwyer's favorite, Babs Ehrenreich, and discussed Nickel and Dimed.
- Tomorrow and Friday, you will write your in-class essay on Nickel and Dimed. You should bring your book, and you may have post-its in your book upon which you have written notes.
