Ninth graders:
You submitted homework (words 1-5 in compound sentences with semicolons); tomorrow's homework is sentences with words 6-10, all compound sentences with a comma and a one of the fanboys. We also started to read "The Scarlet Ibis."
Juniors:
We had a vocabulary check on words from the green sheet. We also read yet another David Brooks article and participated in group work, the fruits of which we will see tomorrow in class.
Thursday - choose a side for v, o, or c; vocabulary check on words from the backside of the blue sheet; group presentations; PSAT or persuasive writing.
Friday - vocabulary check on words from the front side os the blue sheet; Part III of Gulliver's Travels is due.
Monday, October 10th - BIG vocabulary test
Tuesday, October 11th - oral yellow vocabulary assignment due
Monday, October 17th - quote test on Gulliver's Travels
