Ninth graders worked on a story today. Tonight's homework is to write out a study plan and to study for a quiz on the following words: adversary, appall, avenge, blunder, din, heft, lag, rogue, sage, tactic, adversity, desolate, exile, forlorn, guile, immortal, indifferent, pine (v), solitude, versatile.
BTW, Lewis composed and read to the class a wonderful story - well done!
Juniors, reviewed the answers to that dreadful scantron test. Tomorrow, we will discuss lying and South Africa under apartheid. Tomorrow you will also have a vocabulary quiz on the following words: truncheon, plaintive, incredulous, brandish, contrite, impassive, dispassionate, gape, oblivious, semblance, indelible. K Boy (through part one) is due on Friday.
I hope that you all saw and heard Kyle Somers in the courtyard; I got caught in tutorials.
