It's really Friday, really

Today, fourth and fifth periods did the following:

Signed-up for the mock AP exam April 6th or 13th;

Submitted vocabulary homework;

Submitted annotations through page 13 of In Cold Blood;

Finished a rhetorical analysis of JFK's speech about the hike in steel prices; 

Discussed briefly our new rhetorical analysis prompt from the Onion; 

Read a little bit of In Cold Blood.

Your two homework assignments for Tuesday are as follows:

Read and annotate a new speech for rhetorical analysis.  The link for this speech by John F. Kennedy (Question 2) appears below:

Read, annotated, and discussed a rhetorical piece, which you will analyze in writing when we return from the break.

If you attend one or more of these days, you will take a practice AP exam.  I will also give you 20 POINTS on an exam for this six weeks!

BTW, your homework for the break is to read Act I of Othello three times.

Today in class you heard Ms. Harper talk about Project Grad.  You also took an AP-style multiple choice quiz.  I will give you a little time for this quiz on Friday.

Please note that on Friday you will finish your multiple choice quiz, your vocabulary sentences are due, you will have a brief vocabulary quiz, and you will write a rhetorical analysis.
