Welcome back, Scholars!
I have enjoying meeting you these last two days. Please note the following:
Ninth graders: Homework #1, the signature page from your Rules and Procedures packet, is due Wednesday, August 28th.
Homework #2, sentences with homophones, is due Friday, August 30th.
In class you have created a footprint that reflects yourself and your future.
AP Juniors: Homework #1, the signature page from your Rules and Procedures, is due Thursday, August 29th. Today in class you wrote a reflective poem and read and analyzed Leonard Pitts's commentary on the film The Butler and racism in America.
Thursday partners will present their analyses on their assigned paragraphs of the Pitts article.
If you would like to re-read this article, the link to it is as follows:

AP Seniors: Homework #1, the signature page from the Rules and Procedures, is due Wednesday, August 28th. You also wrote a reflective poem, which we will publish on Wednesday. We also started taking notes on Beowulf, portions of which we will read and analyze in class.
Have a great day, and read something interesting!
