Thursday

Today the ninth graders (periods one and six) worked on their review assignments.  Please make sure that you turn in your sentences so that you will not have a missing homework grade.

Juniors participated in study groups and took a quote quiz.  Please read and be ready to discuss the Introduction of Nickel and Dimed tomorrow.  You also received a review sheet, which is copied below, and which you may bring (completed) to the final exam for extra credit:

I will write a couple or three vocabulary stories, which you will complete by selecting the correct words from a word bank.
You will also write an essay on a thematic element common to both Malcolm X and Nickel and Dimed.  Therefore, you must bring both books to the final exam.
Annotations for Nickel and Dimed are due Tuesday, December 16, 2013.  If you have not submitted annotations for X, you may do so on Tuesday for a partial credit, pity grade, which is infinitely better than a cold zero.
