The Penultimate day of the school week (for you, not for me!)

Ninth graders wrote figurative language in their warm-up and their reviewed brainstorming activities for the STAAR essay.  As a ticket out, they wrote sentences or a paragraph with the following words: billow, invalid, idle, dim, bedeck, sullen, and peal.

Juniors held an academic discussion and then wrote a rhetorical analysis on Lincoln's Second Inaugural address.  Please remember that you must have finished reading and annotating Angela's Ashes by Tuesday, February 25th and present the "Highwayman" on February 27th.

Tomorrow, I will not be here.  Please do the following:

Ninth graders will complete a multiple choice packet.

Juniors will read and annotate (and finish!!!) Angela's Ashes.

Seniors will read and annotate 1,000 Splendid Suns.  (due February 28th).  Seniors, please recall that you will perform Act I of Macbeth on Monday, February 24th, and take a test on Acts I and II on Wednesday, February 26th.

Be good tomorrow!
