The Penultimate Day of the School Week

Hello Amazing Scholars:

Today in AP land, the following events occurred:

You submitted your vocabulary sheet for The Handmaid's Tale;

You finished reading in class your fabulous TIB essays, and we finished our first exposure to ratiocination.  When you receive your graded essays next week, you will revise these essays with a focus on the following:

• "to be" verbs (how many do you change?)
• title
• effective paragraphing
• an impactful ending
• at least one cogent, specific example;

We review contextual information from Brave New World;and 

One class even watched a film clip and wrote about that clip in comparison with Brave New World.

Tomorrow your annotation of "There is No Unmarked Woman" is due. You will also have a reading quiz.

Seventh period read through page 34 in Rats Saw God and wrote a letter from the perspective of the protagonist, Steve York, to his father.

Tomorrow your vocabulary homework is due.  Today in class THREE people turned in their homework early!  Well done!
