TGIF!

AP Studs wrote a rhetorical analysis today on President Obama's immigration speech.  If you missed class today, you need to write it at home this weekend and turn it in to me on Monday.  The prompt is as follows:

"In a well-written essay, discuss and analyze the rhetorical strategies President Obama uses to convince Congress and the American populace that his Executive Order on immigration will benefit the country." 

Also on Monday, you will submit your annotations on the Handmaid's Tale and bring five discussion questions with a page reference number for each.  You will have a graded discussion on the book.

On Tuesday, you will turn in your first draft of the Banneker rhetorical analysis AND your second draft that has been revised according to your punch list.

Seventh period watched a clip from the Newsroom and Obama's immigration speech and wrote a page according to the following prompt:

Seventh Period – Journal Writing – December 5, 2014

Now that you have seen this clip from the Newsroom, please write a page in response with the following thoughts in mind:

Is the United States the best country in the world?  Why or why not?

What are some of (or one of) the biggest problems in our country?
