Without stating your opinion, write a short summary of this
story.
Now think about your opinion. How do you feel about this story? Would you be able to forgive a person who
recently killed a member of your family? If your brother or sister carelessly killed someone’s child, would you approach the child’s family and ask for their forgiveness? Why or why not?
Would you ever be able to forgive someone who killed a member of your family inadvertently or carelessly?
Would you ever be able to forgive someone who killed a member of your family deliberately?
In any of the foregoing scenarios, would any circumstances
make any difference? How about the
killer’s background or hardships he or she suffered earlier in life? Are there any circumstances that could change
your response to your family member’s killer?
For your last paragraph, provide evidence for one of your
opinions. Evidence may take the form of,
inter alia, a book, article, film,
personal experience, current, event, or historical event. If you used a work of fiction, make sure that you include the fictional disclaimer.

Compose a T-Chart that's titled "Arnold Spirit Jr." with the columns labeled "+" and "-". Go through up to p. 113 and find things about Junior's life of that have happened to him that fit in either one of the columns. Include page number(s) for each bullet point. (Ex: "born with water on the brain" (1) would go under the negative column while things that are going for Junior would go under the positive column.) Aim for eight examples/points overall.
