Wednesday, September 8th - Hump Day!

Today in class, we did the following:

1.  Discussed the NYT article about study habits in general and the inefficacy of cramming specifically;
2. Engaged in vocabulary and syntactical play; and
3. Discussed briefly the ways in which David Sedaris manipulates language to create meaning and engage his readers.

Tomorrow, we will do the following:

1. Either take a quiz on the rest of the vocabulary words or approach all of the words in some way;
2. Confirm the significance of Rosh Hashanah; and
3. Discuss writer's techniques or write a piece in class.

Friday, take a crossword vocabulary quiz, bring a journal and, I  hope, receive your copy of Kaffir Boy with a new vocabulary list.
